By CBR Staff Writer

Torus Information Networks Ltd has released PC/TCP, a software package which links MS-DOS micros to host computers over the same Ethernet network: the package can access all leading manufacturers’ host systems and supports TCP/IP protocols for file transfer, terminal emulation, and electronic mail; priced at UKP145 for the initial MS-DOS micro node, and UKP115 for any further linked systems, the product also offers a server implementation of the File Transfer Protocol, together with Telnet, the standard TCP/IP remote log in protocol, which enables users to log in to any remote host.
