Seeking to improve the efficiency of its mailroom process, BKK Essanelle conducted a detailed technological evaluation of all leading data capture solution providers. The evaluation process ended with the selection of Top Image Systems’ (TIS) eFlow Smart.

At the end of 2006, BKK Essanelle decided to implement the eFlow3 Platform at its headquarters in Dusseldorf, where it will process up to 13,000 incoming mail items on a daily basis. Smart, an eFlow module for unstructured information, will capture and understand those documents, then classify them into more than 100 different classes defined in advance by BKK Essanelle.

Utilizing the platform, especially its Freedom module, the insurants’ information will be automatically extracted from the documents and transferred to BKK Essanelle’s workflow.

The platform will also include a high-performance approximate search and matching offering.
