5. Dubai

Dubai Internet City

The Dubai Internet City is a free economic zone and strategic base for tech companies in the country. It is the country’s IT hub and is home to some of the biggest names in tech, from LinkedIn, Facebook and Google, to many exciting new startups.

4. Munich

Munich

Germany boasts the country with the highest percentage of broadband users, 65%, and Munich is often seen as the central focus for technology in the country. In 2006, Munich switched 14,000 of its computers from Microsoft to Linux, securing its place on the list of technology hotspots.

Seoul

The capital city of South Korea is the heart of the mobile industry, with LG Group and Samsung based in the city.

It is described as one of the most well connected cities in the world, with wireless access available on underground subways, with places like London only beginning to catch up.

Online gaming is also a huge market for Seoul, with over half of South Korea’s produced games getting shipped to China and local universities offering online gaming courses.

2. London

London

Our very own capital is home to some of the most exciting startups at Tech City in Shoreditch, with many large enterprises basing their headquarters in the city.

The exciting tech hub in London is Tech City in East London that is home to over 1,300 digital companies, up from 200 three years ago.

Growing a digital business in London has never been easier, with back up from the government to allow the companies to carry on flourishing, innovating and expanding.

Silicon Valley

Silicon Valley lies on the southern region of San Francisco in California and houses some of the biggest names in technology. These include Apple, LinkedIn, Yahoo!, Google and Facebook.
