Top 5 green tech gadgets for the office

Make your office a little more eco-friendly with some green gadgets for your desk.

By Kate Heslop

With all of the latest tech cluttering our offices, from hundreds of computers running at least nine hours per day, to iPads and work smartphones, the amount of electricity we use seems to be reaching new highs. With the rise of BYOD, never before has technology been such a big part of office life.

So although we are embracing new gadgets and innovate technologies, let’s not forget that going green can be applied to our work lives, it doesn’t have to end at recycling newspapers or not boiling a full kettle for one single cup of tea. And making your office more eco-friendly doesn’t require hemp mousepads, turning your computer off during breaks or rocking up to work in layers of (organic) wool jumpers and scarves to save on heating expenses.

There are plenty of cool gadgets on the market that can transform your office into an environmentally friendly area, without leaving technology behind. We’ve picked five of the best green tech investments for your office, saving energy, time and money.
