TomTom, a Netherlands-based company specializing in satellite navigation technology, said that the virus is qualified as low risk and does not affect the navigation performance of the GO 910 device. TomTom said the virus can be removed safely with virus scanning software.
The company said that the infected devices were produced between September and November 2006. TomTom did not reveal the number of devices that could be affected by the virus.
