TMC Communications Inc, Santa Barbara, California long distance carrier and Compucom Communications Corp, Indianapolis, Indiana agreed in principle for TMC to market Compucom’s Smart Bill Intelligent Billing System to its California business customers: the system gives users access to a personal computer-based billing system that means that they receive their long-distance phonebill on an MS-DOS floppy with the historical and analytical features built in, providing a menu to traffic analysis, sorting, time of day, cost, length of call, and destination among telephone users, eliminating the need for call accounting software, PABX call detail and computer resources and staff.
