Martin Neath, one of the earliest employees of Tivoli Systems Inc, has left the IBM unit to become president and COO of Works.com, an Austin, Texas-based start-up. Neath, who joined Tivoli in 1990 from Texas Instruments Inc, ended up as executive VP and was leading the company’s development, marketing and product services functions. Two year-old Works.com runs a business purchasing hub offering wholesale direct prices on office equipment and technology. It also automates and manages company purchasing processes. It was founded by CEO Bo Holland (ex Citrix Systems and Pervasive Software) and chief technology officer Roy Kipp (ex Pervasive and Texas Instruments).
