TIS Ltd, the Bourne End, Buckinghamshire Unix systems house, which now claims over 1,000 users in the UK, is diversifying with acquisition of the Fairmount Data Systems unit of Fairmount Trust. Fairmount serves the catering, hotel and related businesses with its Caterdata, Eventdata, Billdata and Clubdata MS-DOS packages, and TIS will get about seven employees with the acquisition. No-one was available on Friday to give any financial details.
