New York Times computer technology columnist Peter Lewis is joining forces with technology journalist and consultant Jim Seymour to form an Internet start-up next year that aims to create a new on-line market for information. The planned ideaMarket in Austin, Texas aims to provide both original content and to re-publish research and creative works over the Internet, creating a library ranging from travel guides and recipes to market tips and sheet music, the pair said. ideaMarket is among more than a dozen recent offspring dreamed up by Idealab, a company founded just nine months ago in Pasadena, California by entrepreneur Bill Gross.
