TIME WARNER GETS MULTIMEDIA TECHNOLOGY FROM IPC, SINGAPORE

IPC Interactive (Pte) Ltd has agreed to supply interactive technology, services and content to Time Warner Cable Inc of New York City, which provides cable service to hotels in the city. The Singapore-based company will be acting through its American unit IPC Interactive Inc. IPC Interactive’s Guestserve system will enable hotels to receive video-on-demand entertainment and interactive video services from a single, networked distribution point. Features will initially include a full selection of cable television channels, video-on-demand pay-per-view, on-screen account review, checkout and video messaging, a room-service ordering menu, guest survey and a hotel and visitor information guide. Later on, shopping, merchandising, games and Internet access will also be provided.
