Lund, Sweden-based Provisio has seven employees and is expected to record annual revenue of 1.2m euros ($1.6m) in 2006. The company develops and supplies applications to healthcare and medical services providers, including appointment scheduling software.
Provisio is the fourth company TietoEnator has acquired in the healthcare space in the last six months. In 2006, the company completed deals for software provider Laps Care, German software and services supplier Cymed and Quickclic Finland, which specialized in interactive and wireless communications services.
The company was the most acquisitive IT services firm in 2006, announcing seven deals over the 12-month period. The company has got off to a flying start in 2007, with the purchase of Provisio coming just days after it announced a move for securities processing applications provider Abaris.
