The New York Times reports that Ticketmaster Group Inc, a unit of USA Networks Inc, has settled a two-year legal battle with Microsoft Corp (CI No 3,151). Ticketmaster sued Microsoft, claiming that Microsoft’s Sidewalk city guide web sites linked directly to Ticketmaster’s purchasing section, bypassing the pages where Ticketmaster sold ads. Microsoft has agreed to direct visitors to the Ticketmaster home page. Terms of the settlement were not disclosed.
