TI said the deal would accelerate development of battery and power management ICs for consumer, automotive, medical, computing, and industrial applications. It said the circuits would also be used in large battery systems, such as those used in hybrid-electric vehicles and uninterruptible power supply systems.
Herdon, Virginia-based Powerprecise was formed in 2002 and has 22 employees.
