Three Swedish employees of L M Ericsson Telefon AB, installing equipment for the new cellular telephone system in Kuwait, have gone missing in the northern part of the country, and may have strayed into Iraq, Reuter reports. There is an obvious risk that they might have lost their way and gone into Iraqi territory, Ericsson said, noting that the three had set out on a trip on Thursday visiting sites in the desert where they were setting up the cellular system, but had not contacted their office since. The Swedish ambassador to Kuwait added that he had very strong evidence that they are in Iraq: he said he went to Umm-Qasr on the Kuwait-Iraq border on Friday and talked to people that said they had seen the trio being taken away inside Iraq.
