Racal Electronics Plc is celebrating three foreign orders: Racal Communications Inc won an order worth more than $900,000 from the US Marine Corps to supply parts of a secure tactical communications system to be manufactured at its facility in Maryland; Racal Radar Defence Systems is to provide a major electronic system for the 48 Tornado aircraft under the Saudi Arabian Al Yamamah II programme under sub-contract from Marconi Defence Systems Ltd; and Largo, Florida-based Racal Datacom has been chosen as a sub-contractor for the US Defense Department’s super-minicomputer procurement contract – the contract involves the installation of more than 125,000 networked computers around the world.
