THREE NEW 16MHz IN-CIRCUIT EMULATORS FROM INTEL

By CBR Staff Writer

And Intel Corp has announced three new 16MHz in-circuit emulators – the ICE-18xEB, ICE-18xLEA and ICE-18xEC – to support the new 16-bit 80C186 embedded microprocessor proliferations: the new 16MHz emulators deliver real-time, in-circuit emulation for hardware and software development and debugging environments for the new 80C186 processors; bond-out technology, says Intel, provides real-time access to what’s happening inside the chip and aids the developer with debugging internals through windows; the event monitor and debug procedures also help to control and automate the emulation process; the ICE-18xEB is out now, the ICE-18xLEA is due early next year and the ICE-18xEC will be ready by the end of the first quarter 1992.
