THREE JAPANESE CHIPMAKERS SETTLE WITH TEXAS INSTRUMENTS

Three more Japanese chipmakers, Oki Electric, Mitsubishi Electric and Matsushita Electric Industrial, have now settled with Texas Instruments on its patent infringement suit over memory chip design, and will all pay the company royalties on their sales of dynamic RAMs.
