Taqua, a supplier of switching systems, and BroadSoft, a provider of VoIP application software, have announced that three more North American independent local exchange carriers have chosen TaquaWorks to replace their Nortel, Siemens, and Coppercom Class 5 switching systems and enable new, enhanced applications using IP and TDM protocols.
According to Taqua, TaquaWorks next-generation switching system is chosen by Pine Belt Telephone, Taylor Telephone, and Cozad Telephone.
TaquaWorks is an integrated combination of Taqua’s North American Class 5 replacement platform and BroadSoft’s advanced services platform. Taqua claims that by utilizing the Taqua 7000 (T7000) next-generation wireline and wireless switching system, service providers of any size can replace Class 4/5 and wireless switching systems and deliver advanced services over TDM and IP networks, and wireless GSM/CDMA, 2G, 3G, and 4G networks.
BroadSoft’s BroadWorks suite of advanced hosted unified communications, Mobile PBX and residential/enterprise broadband applications are coupled with the T7000 to deliver advanced subscriber services to carriers of all sizes.
