Yes but why did John Sculley really want to take the helm at Spectrum Information Technologies Inc? Nobody seems to have noticed that back in August last year, Spectrum, then still based in Dallas, signed a joint venture agreement with a Cleveland, Ohio company called Cumulus Corp, which would involve Spectrum acquiring a stake, the aim of which was joint development of a lightweight cellular phone, and a line of cellular laptop, handheld and pen computers (CI No 1,993).
