One way and another, there are very few obvious innovations in the field of liquid crystal diode and plasma display technology portable computers that were not pioneered by Toshiba Corp, and Toshiba Europe points out that whatever qualities the Dolch Computer Systems 80386 luggable with plasma display at Comdex had, it was not the first plasma/EGA portable (CI No 928) Toshiba’s T3200 286 box has plasma and EGA, and the 386-based T5100 has been shipping with plasma and EGA graphics since November; we believe it was the particular implementation of plasma technology that turned our correspondent on, but that’s not the way it came out.
