The Market Planning Group Inc of Boston, Massachusetts has bought all rights to The Selkirk Correspondent marketing-management program for Personal Computers from Selkirk Associates of Boston, on undisclosed terms: Market Planning has been a distributor of the program for about 18 months and has created a specialised version for insurance agencies; the program needs a hard disk Personalike and includes a word processor, fully integrated database and a reminder system that schedules sales calls and follow-up with customers, and the database can sort clients on 40 characteristics, enabling users to send customised letters to precisely defined groups of customers.
