The Broderbund unit of entertainment and educational software house The Learning Co says it has struck a deal to acquire 3DGreetings.com Inc, a company that allows users to create, edit, and email animated audio-visual greetings. No financial terms for the deal were disclosed. TLC says the acquisition comes as part of its ongoing strategy of building a stronger brand for Broderbund through an expanded internet presence. 3DGreetings will join TLC’s existing portfolio of web sites, which includes Printshop.com, genealogy.com, Parsonstech.com, Broderbund.com, and FamilyTreeMaker.com. TLC claims that a combined 70 million page views per month on the sites ranks it among the top 50 companies in internet traffic.
