The UK Department of Trade and Industry has responded to criticism that it is not doing enough to promote new technology by initiating a technology transfer exhibition, the Information Technology Exchange to be hosted by Cahners Exhibitions Ltd in London this November 1 to 3: the exhibition will be linked to the four technical streams of the Alvey EEC technology initiative intelligent knowledge-based systems, software engineering, VLSI chip engineering and man-machine interface; exhibitors are expected to be companies wanting to promote research and development work, and firms funding technology companies.
