THE BIGGEST TURN-OFF AMONG COMPUTER JOURNALISTS

What subject is the biggest turn-off among computer journalists? It seems that the public relations industry believes it to be computer-aided software engineering, and ever more elaborate inducements are being offered to persuade journalists to attend announcements and seminars on the subject: next week, Oracle Corp is giving away cases of wine to people who attend its Monday announcement of a series of – confusing acronym we abominate CASE products, while later in the week, Philips is offering journalists prepared to endure a teach-in on the subject in the morning a race around the Brands Hatch motor racing circuit in the afternoon.
