THE BARCELONA OLYMPIC COMMITTEE SIGNS WITH SEMA METRA AND T&G

By CBR Staff Writer

The Barcelona Olympic Committee, COOB92, has signed an $11m contract with Sema Metra SA and T&G for software to be used at the Games in 1992: the deal includes seven development projects, the most important being a database to monitor all the organisations and people involved in the competition via matriculation and admission cards, and it will also provide statistics on the services used, and control access to different areas of the event; the other six software systems will be used to reserve services, to reserve accomodation, for facilities management, media booking, controlling the issue and collection of tickets, and managing medical resources like drug-testing units!
