THE ASSOCIATION OF GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SET TO PROMOTE GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEMS

Yesterday saw the launch of the Association of Geographic Information, a UK lobby set up to promote Geographic Information Systems: sponsored by all the right names, such as IBM and DEC, the Association intends to collect and disseminate information, develop policy advice, and encourage research and development on areas of interest to its members; membership is mainly aimed at the utilities and local authority geographic data user.
