We related how Alan Sugar discovered he had a devoted fan club among small shareholders when they turned out in force to lionise the lad at the Amstrad annual meeting the other day (CI No 821), and now the Financial Times Men & Matters column reveals further heartwarming evidence of support: seems a group of shareholders clubbed together to commission a portrait of Sugar by Bryan Organ, who has previously done Prince Charles, Lord Denning, Sir Michael Tippett, Lord Jim Callaghan – and Lester Piggott.
