By CBR Staff Writer

Thailand’s newest cellular phone provider Digital Phone Co is set to link up with Samart Corp which owns 88% of Digital Phone. Among the 20 companies Samart has been talking to, Telekom Malaysia appears to be in pole position to net the deal. The chosen partner will pay $105.9m for a 40% stake in Digital Phone which needs to raise $300m over the next three years to establish its network.
