TEXAS INSTRUMENTS CLOSES PLYMOUTH SEMICONDUCTOR PLANT

Texas Instruments is shutting down semiconductor manufacturing at its Plymouth, Devon plant at a cost of 320 jobs, and transferring the work to Portugal; 200 jobs were terminated there before Christmas, but 50 will continue on computer repair.
