TEXAS INSTRUMENTS CLARIFIES STATEMENT ON COMPUTER OPERATIONS

Texas Instruments Inc has clarified its statement on its computer and related operations, which it had implied were moderately profitable in 1987 (CI No 853): it now says that while the computer segment did record a a profit, the digital products group as a whole lost $28m.
