TestFlight, the service which facilitates iOS app developers to distribute early versions of their apps for testing, has availed its desktop app in private beta.
The new desktop version of the app will help iOS app developers to distribute of apps easily and quickly as it takes the process out of the web browser and to a native environment on the Mac.
TestFlight said the early version of the company’s Desktop App will be a significant and much needed change in developers’ beta release workflow.
"Choose your testers directly or via your distribution lists. Set permissions and notify all with a single click," the company added.
"Since we’re still in beta, we’d really appreciate you testing the app and providing feedback."
TestFlight Desktop App will automatically notify users of any new iOS archives and also provide them with access to archived applications from the menu bar, the company noted.
The desktop app has new features including automatic uploading of applications to their content delivery network and resuming uploads if connection goes down midway.
TestFlight was recently acquired by Burstly and jointly launched TestFlight Live, a real-time dashboard that highlights actions and revenue for iOS apps.
Burstly offers toolset that allows mobile developers to run content or messaging to its users, track in-app purchases from buttons or banners, cross-promote other apps, and work with a wide variety of third party ad partners.
TestFlight provides iOS app developers with the tools they need to be in control of their beta testing experience.
