It’s a bit like Cray Research saying it has shipped its 100,000th ECL logic chip, but Los Angeles-based Teradata Corp is celebrating having shipped its 1,000th processor since it started delivering the multi-processor DBC/1012 Data Base Computer System: the 1,000th CPU was one of the 26 in a system that has gone to American Airlines, which is using the DBC/1012 at its data centre in Tulsa, Oklahoma, for marketing and financial reporting.
