E-commerce industry association CommerceNet has scored a significant victory with its announcement that ten leading EDI vendors have passed its Secure EDI Internet Interoperability testing. The ten products to win CommerceNet certification are: Compaq’s DEC/EDI 3.2 and 4.0, Cyclone Software’s Interchange 2.2, GE Information Services InterLinx 1.0 and 1.1, Harbinger Templar 4.2, IPNet.Suite 2.3, Microsoft BizTalk Server Version 1.0, Netscape ECXpert 3.0, SAA Consultants REIMS Secure ECI Module 3.2, Sterling Commerce COMMERCE:Exchange 3.0 and Software Electronic Commerce Objects. The testing is supposed to verify that users can buy off-the-shelf interoperable software from these vendors and be sure of support for encryption, digital signatures, integrity and signed receipts. á
