Swedish state-owned phone company Telia AB yesterday launched its new UK: the service, targetted at business users, offers savings of up to 30% on some European routes, and the Stockholm company says it sees it as a pilot for a pan-European service it intends to launch when the Community finally opens up; the company currently has 10 employees in the UK and is planning to spend at least UKP10m here, including the UKP3m that it has invested already; it has just one switch but plans to widen out with regional exchanges.
