TeleVideo Multimedia has a new family of graphics accelerators for Windows-based personal computers. The TeleGraphics FX 32 provides 32-bit acceleration through the ARK 1000PV graphics processor and features refresh rates up to 90Hz at 640 by 480 resolution with 16m colours and a maximum resolution of 1,280 by 1,024 with 256 colours. The TeleGraphics FX 64 features the 64-bit ARK 2000PV co-processor and supports resolutions of up to 1,600 by 1,200 with 65,536 colours and can display 16.7m colours at resolutions up to 800 by 600 at a refresh rate of 90Hz. Both are available for VL and Peripheral Component Interconnect bus systems. Drivers are provided for Windows, Windows NT, OS/2, AutoCAD, 3D Studio and others. The TeleGraphics family is fully compliant with VESA Display Power Management Support, supports VESA DDC for Plug and Play, and the VESA Advanced Feature Connector. The ARK Logic graphics accelerators support widely used graphics functions, including BitBlt, line draw, pattern-blt, colour expansion, and raster operations. The ARK chips feature a super pipelined drawing engine and 80MHz clock speed (76MHz for the FX 32). The TeleGraphics FX 32 lists for $150 with 1Mb DRAM and $190 with 2Mb DRAM. The TeleGraphics FX 64 lists for $230 with 1Mb of memory, $290 with 2Mb and $390 with 4Mb memory.
