TeleVideo Multimedia has introduced the TeleWave Audio 32, a signal processor-based wavetable sound board. It features 16-bit stereo sampling rates from 4KHz to 44.1KHz, 16 MIDI channel and 32 note polyphony support, four operator FM Synthesis with 20 voice channels, 2Mb of wavetable samples, 128 General MIDI instruments with 51 drum kits. The board also incorporates a TeleVideo-designed 100 MIPS signal processor for high-quality wavetable synthesis. It is compatible with Sound Blaster, Ad Lib, Windows Sound System, Roland MPU-401 and MPC. The board also offers an integrated MIDI/joystick port and built-in CD-ROM interface for multiple drive standards including IDE, Sony, Mitsumi and Panasonic. The bundled package includes AudioStation – a CD, MIDI and WAV mixer, controller and playlist editor as well as WinDAT, a digital audio editing package. Also included are MIDI Orchestrator Plus, a MIDI file management tool and the EasyStart installation program. TeleVideo also provides speech recognition and text-to-speech software as well as a microphone to enable users to navigate through Windows via verbal commands and proofread documents and numeric data through speech synthesis.
