TELETTRA WINS THREE CONTRACTS FROM BRITISH TELECOM

By CBR Staff Writer

Fiat’s Telettra telecommunications subsidiary, which is in the process of merging with Italian state-owned telecommunications company STET’s manufacturing arm Italtel, says its presence in the Cable & Wireless Mercury network has expanded in 1986 up to 1,000 UD hops at 2Mbps and 8Mbps in the 13GHz frequency band: it says it has also won three contracts from British Telecom for 2GHz and 6GHz – 34Mbps and 140Mbps – as part of modernisation of its long distance microwave network.
