TELESTAR LINKS ITS NETWORK TO PAN NETWORK IN US

By CBR Staff Writer

Telestar, an electronic bulletin board and information service operator, has linked its network to the PAN network in the US, so that US users can access various services on Telestar, using Japanese characters as well as English, so that expatriate and travelling Japanese businessmen can send messages back home via their lap-top personal computers; the system operates only one way at present, but may add a Japan-to-US service later.
