TELERATE PAYS $75M FOR CMQ COMMUNICATIONS

Telerate Inc has paid $75m for CMQ Communications Inc, a Toronto company which provides a share price quotation service generated from data supplied by all US and Canadian stock and commodities exchanges, and also has the exclusive rights to Telerate’s financial quotation products and services in Canada until the year 2000: CMQ looks to do $27m turnover this year, Telerate did $85m in the first nine months.
