TELENOR & POSTEN FORM NORWAY’S LARGEST SOFTWARE HOUSE

By CBR Staff Writer

Norwegian telco Telenor and Posten SDS, part of the country’s postal service, have merged two of their businesses to form Ephorma AS, Norway’s largest software and services company, with annual revenues of $40m. The merged businesses are Telenor Allianse AS and the IT services division of Posten SDS. The idea is to incorporate the latter’s expertise in systems integration for personnel, payroll, payments and document handling, as well as data capture and analysis, with the former’s software packages, many of which are sold into the same markets.
