Fullerton, California-based Telenetics Corp has joined Frame Relay Technologies Inc of Costa Mesa, California for the joint development of Frame Relay multiplexers and nodal switches for the wide area and local area network interconnection market. The Frame Relay fast packet feeder multiplexers and nodal switches covered by the agreement use FrameMux Frame Relay streamlining to combine and transport multiple protocol types on a single network, providing unparalleled econ omics of scale. Telenetics designs and markets modems and statistical multiplexers and Frame Relay Technologies is the original developer of FrameMux technology and pioneered its use in multiplexers and nodal switches. The partners say that the the new Frame Relay-based product line will offer lower cost and more efficient local and wide area net work interconnection, reducing both the number of high-cost physical circuits needed and the number of bridge and router ports required in the overall wide area network. The pair plan to introduce and demonstrate the new Frame multiplexers and nodes at the Texpo show in Anaheim, California which is from May 5 to 7.
