TELENET JAPAN STARTS NEW ‘TELEMAIL EXPRESS’ SERVICE

The Telenet Japan joint venture between Kanematsu-Gosho and US Sprint’s Telenet Communications Corp of the US, is to begin a Telemail Express service on November 1, involving the printing of electronic mail in print centres in 14 cities and next day delivery by post to most regions of the US: signatures and graphics can be added, and address lists can be used for mail-outs; cost is around $2.25 per letter, but discounts of 15% to 20% can be obtained with volumes of over 3,000 and 10,000 letters per month respectively.
