TELEMETRIX EXCHANGES US, EUROPEAN OPERATIONS WITH GENISCO

By CBR Staff Writer

The Westward Micro graphics display terminal division of Telemetrix Plc has decided to hand over its US marketing operations to Genisco Computer Corp of Costa Mesa, California in exchange for Genisco’s marketing operations here in Nottingham. Under the agreement, Genisco will provide help to Telemetrix’ overstretched software development operations, and will get an entree to the continental European market for the first time. Genisco is part of Genisco Technologies, whose other main interest is in tape drive manufacturing. It has annual sales of about $40m, half of it in graphics displays, marketed mainly into the military, oil exploration and geophysical markets, where Westward Micro markets its high-performance VDUs mainly for computer-aided design and manufacturing applications.
