Hungry Telematics International Inc has leaped in with a bid for the Micom Digital Corp subsidiary of Micom Systems Inc, Simi Valley, California, winning definitive agreement for acquisition of the business from the self-destructing Micom for $9.65m in cash. Micom Digital manufactures a T1 Resource Manager, which enables integrated voice, data and video transmission over the high-speed digital 1.544Mbps T1 circuits. Closing is expected as soon as the end of this week. Telematics does 45% of its business with multinationals and with operators of large international public data networks.
