Telefonos de Mexico SA de CV says it put 203,655 new lines into service during the first quarter of 1994, and now has a total of 7.824m lines in service, a 13.4% increase over the year earlier level; the company reported a 14% drop in its first quarter profits after a charge for foreign exchange losses.
