TELEFONICA DE ESPANA LINES UP $1,000M BRIDGE LOAN

Telefonica de Espana SA reports that it has lined up a $1,000m bridge loan to finance its acquisition of stakes in those two Peruvian telecommunications companies – Peruana de Telefonos SA and Entel-Peru, which it won in an international tender with a bid of $2,002m.
