Centre PVM Techno has signed distribution agreements with Teledyne Inc and Cirrus Logic Inc. The agreement with Teledyne is for cores for power supplies and sensors while the deal with Cirrus Logic is for micro adapters and various controllers. Techno is to be the sole representative of these companies in Russia. Techno representative Yuri Gerasimov says these agreements will help the enterprise to start a project announced at Comtek ’93 – to manufacture (rather than assemble) personal computers in Russia. Techno intends to use its own circuit boards which it is already using in other products. Techno has strong contacts with the military-industrial complex and Mr Gerasimov believes that this could provide all the necessary plant and personnel needed for the operation.
