Teledata Networks has released BroadAccess-1000E, a new IP-based multiservice access gateway for the delivery of residential Triple Play services and Carrier Ethernet services for business customers.
Teledata said that with a multiple 10GigE architecture and backplane capacity of over 360Gbps, the new BroadAccess is suitable for delivery of advanced IP services such as HD IPTV and carrier grade business services.
Teledata claims that the new BroadAccess is designed to support the multi-functionalities of an MSAG, IP-DSLAM, Carrier Ethernet Switch and GPON OLT, and offers a set of voice and broadband applications for residential and business customers.
The company said that the new BroadAccess offers a choice of services over fibre and copper, including POTS, ADSL2+, VDSL2, Active Ethernet and GPON, to enable operators implement various network topologies of FTTR, FTTC, and FTTP. The new BroadAccess is enhanced with a10Gigabit Ethernet transmission, enabling aggregation of broadband traffic over an optical ring.

With a series of service cards, the new BroadAccess reportedly provides the highest ports density, supporting over 1000 xDSL ports, 400 GigE ports or 9,000 GPON subscribers per shelf, the company said.
