TELECONFERENCNG IS ALREADY BIG BUSINESS IN JAPAN

Teleconferencing is in its infancy in the US and Europe, but in Japan, it is already big business, with Fujitsu, Hitachi, NEC, Matsushita and Mitsubishi all playing: now NTT and Sony have linked up to market inter company image communication systems; the Sony-NTT system is expected to be use NTT’s high-speed digital lines, running at 384Kbps to 1.5Mbps, and as well as up to four transportable models, the partners will take custom orders.
