Add to the names AT&T International, British Telecom International and NTT International stomping the globe looking for management and service contracts that of another telephone company that a few years ago never looked beyond its own shores for business – Telecom Australia (International) Ltd: the state owned company has just landed its biggest contract yet – $68m over three years to run the Saudi Arabian telecommunications network in partnership with Saudi Arabian National Telecommunications Co; the Aussies last week also won a contract to evaluate the performance of China’s digital microwave link from Peking to Shanghai, and is on the short-list for a $99 contract in Thailand; over its 21 months on the stomp it has already found work in West Germany, Canada, New Zealand, India, the United Arab Emir-ates, Malaysia, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Thailand and Hong Kong.
